In 1998, Pauline Lan, also known as Lan Xin Mei, released her solo album "肉餅飯糰". The following year, the album was nominated for Best Producer at the 10th Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan. It's a delightful album with many unexpected surprises in its tracks that are truly worth appreciating!

The album '肉餅飯團' was the one she had a deep personal involvement, unfortunately, it didn't sell well. This made her question her own talent and capabilities. As her fan base expands, she feels the need to push herself creatively as well. Rather than simply catering to mainstream flavours, she is determined to explore new genres of her music.

她說：《肉餅飯團》那張專輯是我參與最多，但賣­得最慘的一張，令我很懷疑自己的能力。歌迷在成長，我自己也要發展，我不想唱討好市場的歌曲，必須要去嘗試一些不同的音樂。
